What to do this Independence Day - Update

The 4th July will be a three-day weekend full of food, fun and festivities. As families gather together, Americans will be washing down 700 million pounds of chicken and 190 million pounds of beef with $1 billion worth of beer.
If after all that food and drink you still fancy getting out of the house, there is lots to do in Borrego Springs and Julian.
Julian American Legion BBQ - The Julian American Legion Post 468 will hold its 75th Annual 4th of July BBQ Bonanza, at 2nd and Washington in Julian, beginning at 1:00 p.m. The Ladies Auxiliary will have baked goods and raffle tickets for sale and a live band will perform.
Julian 4th of July Parade - Escape to Julian this July 4 to see the Annual 4th of July Parade down Main Street. Pre-parade: 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon: Gunfight with Julian Doves & Desperados. Patriotic musical presentations; two flyovers by vintage aircraft; unfurling an enormous flag by volunteer audience members. Monday, July 4, Parade steps off at noon, lasts about 1 hour. Main Street, from Julian High School to Frank Lane Park.

Independence Day weekend pool parties at Borrego Springs Resort, for this Saturday and Sunday. (See Flyer)
The Springs at Borrego - Saturday, July 2, 6 PM. Free Fourth of July Weekend Cookout. Join us as we celebrate Independence Day with beef or veggie burgers and side dishes. No charge to RV guests . $10 for non-guests. The Springs Wine and Beer Bar will be open.

Ocotillo Wells 35th Annual Golf Tournament - Which they describe as 'Balls, Booze, Boobs & Friends'. They will also have a few prizes to give away and some $50.00 off coupons to Escondido Cycle Center (see flyer)
