Borrego Sun - Since 1949

Borrego Springs Resort & Spa held their 'Independence Day Weekend Desert Pool Parties' which saw everyone from couples out for a warm weekend in the sun to families gathering for holiday reunions, joining in the festivities.

The team at BSR promised FUN, FUN, FUN! and it was delivered in bucket loads by DJ Spin & his crew bumpin' everything from the classics to Hip Hop to some of his own mixes, and getting the crowd involved in water games and antics. With the sun out and the water providing a refreshing relief from the heat, some guests chose to sit on the side lines lounging under the cabanas in their floppy hats while some played poolside shuffleboard.

DJ Spin & his crew kept the party pumping

Locals and hotel guests put Jerry's skills to the test by slingin' back drinks from the poolside cocktail bar, all soaked up with Ramon's delicious and fresh bar food buffet.

With the Santa Rosa mountains providing the backdrop, James and his family from Santee all agreed that the 4th of July pool party "was a hit, with great music, food, games, it was totally fun.". The adults could float in the pool while the kids enjoyed tossing a beach ball and making new friends throwing a football.

Kim Daniels from the Borrego Springs Resort & Spa said "It was truly a sight to see. The wistfulness of Independence Day celebrations of days past has been with us all along, tucked away in our own sun-drenched resort." And all the hard work the team have put in to the weekend? "The team had a blast!" she says.
