Resort To Nature…. at the 51st Annual Borrego Days Desert Festival and Parade Fri. Oct. 21 thru Sun. Oct 23, 2016
The 51st Anniversary Borrego Days Desert Festival brings together the best parts of this gorgeous desert town: beautiful art, world class hospitality, lovely weather, desert blooms, and family fun!
The FREE festivities begin Friday, October 21, 5 PM – 9 PM and continue Saturday, October 22 from 10 AM – 9 PM and Sunday, October 23 from 10 AM - 5 PM at Christmas Circle, Borrego’s green oasis.
Make Saturday morning October 22 a family affair and head into the heart of town for the beloved Borrego Days Parade, featuring 80 over-the-top entries! Find a spot along Palm Canyon Drive or on the Circle and settle in to witness the excitement of the Borrego Days Parade as it steps off at 10 AM with a spectacular multi-plane flyover. Dance along with marching bands as competing schools from San Diego, Imperial and Riverside counties play to win first place.
Watch in awe as Spanish, trick and western reenactment equestrian groups mount up and take the parade route. Admire the beauty of the classic cars as they roll through town and wave enthusiastically to catch the eye of the queens and their courts.
The Borrego Days Parade is a showcase of the creativity that exemplifies this beautiful desert gem of a town. As the parade wraps up, the festivities continue at the Circle. Wander through the rows of booths and enjoy the talented artists, large variety of one-of-a-kind goods, refreshing cold brews in the beverage garden, and a plethora of delicious festival food offerings.
Live music will get you in the groove to dance away your day in the shade. The children will be delighted with all the special activities in store for them in the carnival fun zone, open until 5PM daily.
