Nationwide Frozen Food Recall

National Frozen Foods Corp. who supply frozen vegetables for Target and Walmart store brands, have issued a nationwide recall of frozen green peas and frozen mixed vegetables the FDA has announced, due to potentially, being contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

Frozen vegetables packaged under the following brands are included in the recall: Great Value (sold at Walmart); Market Pantry (sold at Target); Live Smart and Bountiful Harvest.

The products being recalled were distributed in retail stores nationwide between September 2, 2015 and June 2, 2016 - including the UPC number and packaging information as well as code.

Listeria can cause serious and, rarely, fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems, according to the FDA.

Consumers are advised not to consume the recalled products. Consumers who purchased affected products should return them to the store for a refund.
