Borrego Springs - Spring Sports Banquet

Borrego Springs High School celebrated some of its premier student-athletes June 2, at the annual Spring Sports Banquet.
Borregos Athletic Director, Gary Gernandt, said the banquet is always a nice night to honor Borrego's athletes, "We have a lot to be proud of with all our sports teams," he said. "It was a great season. We have great kids and it is good to recognize them."
Gernandt welcomed the athletes and their supporters to the event before handing over to Head Coach Randy Meeks and Assistant Coach Andy Musga, who honored members of the baseball teams.

Jeremiah Simpson, Logan Chell, Angel Fregoso, Mike Deichler, Eric Tulving, Miguel Barron, Alex Morris, Oscar Fuentes, Luis Arias, Juan Carmona, Jesus Ornelas, Andres Bojorquez, Victor Arias, Fernando Alcaraz, Alexys Padilla, Eduardo Sanchez, Jordan Thompson, Francisco Morales, Adan Delgadillo and Abraham Vega.

Rookie of the year: Logan Chell
MVP: Jesus Ornelas
After concluding the baseball awards, Head Coach Justine Smiley and Assistant Coaches Brian Schmaderer and Bela Torres handed out awards for Girls softball
Most improved player: Paula Bojorquez
Coaches award: Nadia Lopez
Offensive: Nicole Del Bono
Defensive: Vanessa Rodarte
MVP: Michelle Delgadillo
