Borrego Springs is officially going to be the hottest place in America today as temperatures are set to hit 118f.

Fox 5 news have been reporting from the area and are keeping an eye on the thermometers in case we can top 126f which was the highest recorded temperature in June 1996.

The Borrego Springs Library will be open until 7.00p.m. to provide respite from the heat.
