Borrego Springs - 5.2 Quake

"Things were really rattling and then the second one came." says Gray Brandt a Borrego Springs resident who was at home when the quakes began. The epicenter was 13 miles NE of Borrego, with the first large tremblor at 5.1 hitting at 1.03 a.m and moments later at 1.05 a.m came a 5.2.

Several small quakes have also been reported. According to USGS the tremblor occurred near the Clark Fault/Anza segments of the San Jacinto Fault Zone.

The quakes were felt as far away as San Diego and Los Angeles.
