June 15 Meeting on Refuse Service

According to the district official notice; “ … Notice of Public Hearing Concerning Proposed Rates for Refuse Service … The District Board of Directors of the Salton Community Services District (“district”) will conduct a public hearing on June 15, 2016, at 10:00 a.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, in the District Boardroom, 1209 VanBuren Street, Salton City, California, 92275, to consider adopting new rates for its refuse collection fees.”
This is important. There are many questions and concerns, and rumors are flying. Please come to the meeting to hear the plan with your own ears and to voice your opinion … it is valued!
There is a process to submit a protest against the proposed refuse service rate imposition; a form must be “ … completed and received by the District Office prior to the close of the public hearing. Citizens may also address the Board of Directors regarding the proposed rate imposition during the public hearing.”
