Residents joined American Legion Post #853 at Christmas Circle park this morning in honor of military personnel who died in the service of their country, particularly those who died in battle or as a result of wounds sustained in battle.

The Color Guard presented Flags and a 21-gun salute for the large crowd assembled surrounding the gazebo.

Following the ceremony, a hot dog and hamburger lunch buffet was served at the Legion Hall, along with patriotic cupcakes.
