USPTA Tennis Elite Pro Greg Failla and his wife hosted a 90-minute instructional clinic at La Casa Del Zorro Thursday, April 14.

17 students joined Greg and his wife Katrina, at Failla Family Tennis Fest.

After a wonderful tennis clinic they enjoyed an exhibition match before attending the tennis social.

Although described as a "one-time only opportunity" by La Casa's own Tennis Pro, Mike Rogers, hopefully the Failla family can be enticed back to Borrego sooner rather than later.

The Failla family has built a rich tennis tradition in Ramona, where they teach at the Riviera Oaks, offering both clay and grass courts.

Younger brother Greg was an outstanding junior, CIF champion by his senior year in high school, and ranked sixth in the country in the 18s. He was a two-time All-American, ranked third in the NCAA. His wife Katrina Crawford was the CIF champion at Valhalla and also a top junior, #29 in the Girls National 18s. Daughters Jessica (17) and Julia (11) have followed their parents into the competitive ranks. Jessica has worked her way up the junior rankings (top 15 nationally in the 16s) and was the CIF's Girls' Champion in 2013. Julia caught the tennis bug from her sister and is progressing nicely in junior competition.
