Henry the Truck says it’s what’s inside that counts

Dear Bill and Family: Thank you for your letter in the Borrego Sun. I have been with Denny since 1960 when he bought me for $35 from Wallie Fair in Ocotillo Wells. I have tried to raise Denny as best I could. Trust me, he has been a challenge. You must remember Danny is handsomely challenged and financially handicapped and neither is likely to change. However Denny has seen to it that my running gear is top notch. From my 350 horsepower motor and eight forward gears, I can spank most newer cars and trucks!

I am built to run, work or tow. Trust me, I hold my head up high at Cruise Night in Escondido. In fact, the people there that read my stories taped to my side tell Denny that a paint job would ruin me! Denny does have some better front fenders and grill for me that I hope will be on this summer. In fact, I feel sorry for the ‘Trailer Queens’ that never get to be driven as I am. Ask Denny if he will take you for a ride in me – and you will be a believer!
