Borrego Palm Canyon Campground has seen a host of visitors over the las few weeks with tourists and snowbirds arriving from Canada, Europe, and Southern California to enjoy the warm climate and full bloom that is currently taking place.

Spring has brought forward a kaleidoscope of colors across the hillsides where purple verbena, desert prickly pear, desert indigo sage and orange ocotillos are out in bloom. As a result of the early March storm and snow dusting the mountains, there are waterfalls and babbling brooks to explore along the trails. Such a great sight to see in this arid desert landscape.

Hikers enjoying the alternative trail in Palm Canyon last Saturday, March. 12, were provided an extra treat, when two Borrego Big Horn Sheep made the most of the abundant yellow flowers of the Brittlebush. Despite their natural coyness, the two rams were happy to ignore the tourists and enjoy the 'Taste of Borrego' as much as Borregans do.
