Borrego Springs Rotery Clubs' sixth annual 'Taste of Borrego,' held on March 14, was a monumental success.
The event supports local community projects within the Borrego Springs area and this years culinary event took place at La Casa del Zorro's Astra Ballroom.

Seven vendors showed off their delectable dishes with each entry being judged by well known chefs who awarded the competitors; Professionals' Award for Best Flavor, Best Presentation, and Most Unique Dish.
Borrego Springs High School Interact Club students, sold ballot tickets to guests for one dollar a vote, in order to determine the People's Choice Restaurant. In a sweeping victory, Executive Chef Jay Pastoral from La Casa del Zorro's 'The Butterfield Room' took home the award as he showcased La Casa's best dishes that included a savory lobster bisque.
Presenters included; Bighorn Fudge Co, The Big Horn Grill at Palm Canyon Resort, El Borrego, Borrego Outfitters, The Butterflied Room at La Casa del Zorro, The Candied Apple, Carlee's Place and Rams Hill Clubhouse.
