The Soroptimist International of Borrego Springs Artist's Open Studio Tour, held on Sunday, Feb. 21, was a huge success.

Artists around Borrego opened up their homes and studios for residents and art appreciators. Some artist's had items for sale, while others showed off some of their unique creations. The tour included studios of;

1. John Richen - Metal sculptures

2. Breta Matson - Fused glass artist

3. Jonathan Moor - Wood design

4. Jack Hamilton - Wood and fixed media

5. The Pottery Studio - Various artists

6. Christie Barber - Journals and boxes-multi-media using recycled items

7. Leslie Duncan - Paintings and drawings, painted furniture

8. Carol Lindemulder - Oil-on-linen canvases of landscapes and cityscapes

9. Mike Holder - Pyrographer (wood burning) and using color to paint the wood as well as Yupo (a type of paper)


10. Joya Hoyt; Pamela Granberry - Photo collages on Navajo designs and shell; turquoise necklaces

11. Robert Schooley - Hand-forged metalworks, metal sculptures

12. Debra MacArthur - Paints landscapes

13. Barbara Nickerson - Paining using watercolors on Yupo and Sumi (ink on rice paper)

14. Judy Webber - Pastels to create still life, landscape and figurative works
