The 70th annual Riverside County Fair & National Date Festival is taking place February 12 through 21st in Indio.

Fantasy Springs Casino and Resort are presenting the event which offers adult and kiddie carnivals, camel races, many varieties of dates for sale, and food vendors.

For the past 70 years people from the local desert communities have attended this unique event enjoying musical concerts and live entertainers throughout the week.

Food vendors will have date inspired dishes, last year's food included; dates wrapped in bacon, date shakes, fried dates, cinnamon buns topped with fresh dates, and much more.

There will be multiple concerts including country artist Trace Adkins, who will be performing on Valentine's Day. KC and the Sunshine Band will be performing on Saturday Feb. 20.

You won't want to miss the ever popular camel and ostrich races. There will also be magicians, comedians and a monster truck show.
