A gopher became the proud recipient of a copy of the Borrego Sun in the mural behind the bar of the Fox Den at La Casa del Zorro.

Artist Richard Gabriel Chase of La Mesa made a special trip out to paint the addition when customers asked why the Sun's big brother, The San Diego Union, was in the mural, but not the Sun. The gopher seems a little surprised to see a roadrunner peeking over his shoulder to read the news of Borrego.
