La Casa Del Zorro "Happy Holiday Foxes" are available for purchase at the front reservations desk.
La Casa Del Zorro Resort and Spa is currently selling "Foxes" or "Zorros" for $20.00 each for the benefit of local charities in town. The Resort introduced their latest "Happy Holiday Fox" version this holiday season.
The new fox is as cute as the "original fox" last summer but this one is adorned with a white and red striped scarf for the winter season.
Patrick Sampson, General Manager at the resort, says the program has been very successful.
With one hundred percent of the sale proceeds being distributed to Borrego Springs' charities. "The guest response has been tremendous", said Sampson, "Our guests are constantly commenting as to how much they love to visit Borrego Springs and experience the special magic and tranquility they feel in our Anza Borrego Desert lifestyle. The purchase of the Fox allows them a superb way to give a little back to our community".
Sales have averaged 85 foxes per month and this is expected to increase substantially when the high season goes into full effect in January.
Besides focusing on keeping the foxes in adequate supply, La Casa Del Zorro has begun plans for the summer 2016 version.
Donations, so far have been made to the Borrego Springs Little League in the amount of $700 and to the Borrego Springs Rotary Foundation in benefit to the Ms. Borrego Springs Pageant and Scholarship to the amount of $1000.
