A gray vehicle was spotted overturned between two large rocks on the side of Route 79 near Warner Springs, according to California Highway Patrol. The driver, a 61-year-old male from Warner Springs, was found dead at the scene but their name has not yet been released.

The wrecked vehicle was found around 3:20 a.m Tuesday Dec. 9, near the Emerald Creek Winery at 38642 state Route 79.

Only one person was involved in the crash, said the CHP and it is unclear what led to the crash or if it was DUI-related.
