Borrego Days Music

There was a great variety of music for the 50th Anniversary of Borrego Days this year. It all started on Friday evening with local favorites, 'Borrego Blues and Dance All-Stars,' with Dennis Franklin, Harry Joe Reynolds, Sheldon Baker and Ono Bono on drums, and ended Sunday evening with the popular 'Mariachi Estrella!'
A few highlights included Izon Eden, starring the joy-inspiring Patty Holley and her mad-genius on the keyboards partner, Dayton Borders, inspiring a crowd of happy people to dance under the stars. Whitney Shay and Robin Henkel delivered a sassy-blues with some funky guitar work, and Angel Miguel and his pint-sized siblings sang and swayed to adoring fans. Country singer/songwriter Graham Nancarrow and his amazingly talented band were so charming they created instant converts to country music.
