Crime Watch October 11 - 18

On Oct. 11, a 59-year-old Warner Springs resident was arrested for elder abuse and resisting arrest. The injuries were not severe. He was booked into Vista Jail. The Sheriff's Department has a specialized Elder Abuse Unit but this case is being investigated by Warner Springs Deputies.

On Oct. 14, a 43-year-old female Warner Springs resident was arrested on an drug arrest warrant. She was booked into Vista Jail.

On Oct. 15, a 33-year-old male Julian resident was arrested by deputies in Santa Ysabel (78 & Riverwood) for being under the influence of drugs. He was booked into the Vista Jail. 10-15 is CHP radio code for "Suspect in Custody." Most law enforcement divides all known drugs into eight categories.


On Oct. 19, two businesses were broken into in Julian. Numerous items were taken. Deputies are investigating.

On Oct. 18, a 34-year-old female Shelter Valley resident was arrested for possession of a meth pipe, she was issued a citation to appear in court on the charges. Meth is in the top three most abused category of drugs arrested for (along with alcohol and pot).
