Thirty-five blood donors are needed during Borrego Days Desert Festival Saturday on Oct. 24 from 12:00 - 5:00 p.m. at Christmas Circle. Participants can schedule an appointment online at http://www.sandiegobloodbank.org, then click on "Donate Blood" select "Appointments" and provide sponsor code: BSDY. Donors with a scheduled appointment for between 12:00 - 5:00 p.m., will receive a voucher for a FREE flight between 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, courtesy of Borrego Air Ranch. After their flight, they will donate blood. La Casa Del Zorro Resort shuttle will pick up the voucher holders from the Shuttle Stand and take them to the Borrego Valley Airport. After their flight, the shuttle will return them to the Shuttle Stand. The last shuttle will leave the Shuttle Stand at 1:45 PM. The last shuttle will leave the Airport at 2:45 PM. A waiver and release of liability is required to fly. The FREE vouchered blood donor fly bys are on a first-come, first-serve basis. No more than 35 FREE flights. The last FREE flight will be at 2:00 and there are no rain checks or monetary exchange value for unused vouchers. Even if not flying, come out to the Airport to tour the aircrafts.
