Desert Essence / Lauris Phillips at BAI, Oct. 10 - 31

Saturday, Oct. 10 at 5:30 a.m. to Saturday, Oct. 31 at 3:30 a.m. Desert Essence, showing at the Borrego Art Institute through October, is the fruition of an informal Artist's Residency in Anza-Borrego Desert State Park by Lauris Phillips. It is a selection of seven paintings created with pigments gathered from near-park desert locations and wild brushes made from local animal fur. It is Anza-Borrego painted with Anza-Borrego. In the spirit of her father's generosity to this special place, a portion of all sales will go to Anza-Borrego Foundation.
Lauris will be giving a free public gallery talk at the Borrego Art Institute on Oct. 31 at 2:30 p.m.
