Prohibiting Water Conveyance For Bottled Water

Nestle Water is set to become an election issue as the company continues bottling and selling water amidst the Drought.
The Local Water Alliance has filed a ballot measure petition to prohibit commercial bottled water production in Hood River County, Oregon.
The measure would prohibit conveying water “from any source within the County in order to support a commercial bottled water operation.”
This could be the first nationwide attempt to prevent local water rights from being sold to a corporation.
