On Friday evening, Sept. 18, a 42-year-old woman stepped out of her car by the side of I-10 near Ford Dry lake and was bitten by a 2 foot- long rattlesnake. She was taken to the hospital, according to the Riverside County Fire Department, and evaluated as in “moderate condition.”
