Julian Chamber Mixer

On the afternoon of August 6, I fired up my panel truck Henry, and headed out to Menghini Winery a few miles north of Julian to cover the Julian Chamber Mixer from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. or so.
The mixer was hosted by Menghini Winery and Volcan Mountain Winery. A good size crowd of 60 or more were there to enjoy cooked sausage and Mara Nara, salad and watermelon strips; wine and mixed drinks to wash it all down. A drawing, and prizes were handed out to the lucky winners; the up coming "Sip of Julian" among other things was discussed.
Marco Sanchez, an intern for Senator Joel Anderson (36 District) gave a Small Business Award to Menghini Winery. Scattered clouds and light breezes added to a delightful evening that was enjoyed by all that attended. I made several new friends that I will be able to enjoy on future events.
I climbed back into Henry, and headed for home.
