San Diego Region Water Usage Drops

Last updated 8/20/2015 at 10:40am

July was a good month for water conservation for the San Diego region. The region used 32 percent less water than the same month in 2013. San Diego is at its lowest water usage since 1975. The heavy rain from Hurricane Dolores helped the percentage of water conservation. Water officials have been promoting the need to conserve water before it was state-mandated. Water districts needed to meet the state-mandated conservation quota for July because of the drought.
