That number is: 858-565-5200. When cell phone users currently dial 9-1-1, the call is routed to Highway Patrol and can cause a delay in response time.

Calling Deputy Dispatch directly will bring a deputy to your location as soon as is possible.

Landline users can call either 858-565-5200 or 9-1-1 for immediate response. Do not call the local sheriff’s office for emergencies, as they are often outside the office. Non-emergency callers can leave a message at the local 760-767-5656 number. To reach the Highway Patrol specifically, the number is 760-767-0106.
