Lake Fire - 90 Percent Containment

The Lake Fire in San Bernadino County has scorched 31,359 acres of wilderness, after more than two weeks of fighting, the counties firefighters have increased the containment to 90 percent.
According to the U.S. Forest Service, nonessential fire personnel and equipment will be demobilized and used in other incidents, leaving a core group of firefighters and support personnel remaining to extinguish the last of the fire. However, according to Forest Service spokesperson Carol Underhill, the worst of it appears to be over.
Although the cause is still under investigation, the total cost of fighting the wildfire is currently at $39.5 million.
