Borrego Sun - Since 1949

Kris Anderson lost her 8 year-old Shar Pei mix, by the name of Georgia, on June 27 at the Los Penasquitos Canyon Preserve. Anderson spent hours searching for Georgia, who’d gone off chasing rabbits, and was finally told by authorities that the dog probably wouldn’t survive for long in the coyote-ridden canyon. Georgia defied the odds when she showed up in the Carlsbad home she shares with Anderson- some 35 miles and nine days later. On Monday morning Georgia walked into the house and woke her sleeping master, who believed she must be dreaming. Besides a few scratches, some weight loss and exhaustion, Georgia is doing fine.
