Desert Water Agency Approves $1 Million for Grass Removal

The Desert Water Agency (serving Palm Springs and parts of Cathedral City) started a turf buyback program last summer which paid $2 per square foot of grass removed. As of the beginning of June, 152 homeowner associations, 28 commercial properties and 120 residences already received or were approved for funding. On Tuesday, the Desert Water Agency’s board of directors approved $1 million in new funding for grass removal.
