Randy Brown Reaches the Finish Line

Randy Brown's journey brought a lot of media attention to the perils of the Salton Sea. He arrived at Johnson's Landing, the halfway point, at 7:40 p.m. Friday; his expected arrival was at 6:00 p.m. For the final destination at the Yacht Club, he arrived Sunday, June 14 at 2:30 p.m. Local scientists, community leaders, media, and a cheering crowd waited for him at the finish line. The event also included a farmers market, Salton Sea Art, boating and swimming.
