Narcotics and Firearms - Two Arrested in Coachella

Ricardo Delgado, 54, of Coachella and Jose Jimenez, 31, of Thermal, were arrested by deputies and officers assigned to the Coachella Valley Narcotics Task Force on Friday June 19. A search warrant on a property in Calle Avila, Coachella, resulted in the confiscation of 130 grams of suspected methamphetamine, suspected heroin, two rifles, one handgun and a manufactured handgun. The narcotics found exceeded an approximate street value of $5,200, according to a deputy.

A two-year-old child was also found unharmed and removed from the residence by Child Protective Services. Delgado was arrested for suspicion of possession of a controlled substance for sale, possession of a controlled substance while armed, being a felon in possession of a firearm, being a felon in possession of ammunition, and child endangerment. Jimenez was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance for sale.
