Join the San Diego County Sheriffs Department’s Senior Volunteer Patrol. Requirements are: be at least 50 years of age, U.S. Citizen, posses a California Driver License and car insurance, have medical insurance, good moral character, pass a complete background check, pass the two-week Volunteer Patrol Academy course, be physically and emotionally able to perform the duties of the position, volunteer a minimum of six hours a week in Borrego Springs, Ranchita and Warner Springs.
