Water Use Has Dropped In California by 13.5%

Responding to Governor Jerry Brown’s executive order requiring increased conservation, the State Water Resources Control Board reports that Californians have used 13.5 percent less water in April this year as compared to April in 2013. Governor Brown ordered a 25 percent urban water-use reduction on April 1st and the decline in water-use is already underway as local water officials have begun implementing new watering restrictions.
