Couple missing after leaving Valley View Casino on Mother's Day have been found in remote area of Warner Springs. Dianna Bedwell, 67, has survived, while partner Cecil Knutson did not.
The couple apparently took a short-cut to get to their son's house in La Quinta but never arrived. They were found by a four-wheeler in a remote area, some 50 miles from where they began.
According to a report from the Independent.com, Bedwell survived two weeks in the desert eating a small amount of food from a pie and oranges she had in her car. She had also survived by collecting rainwater in cups.
The couple was last seen on a surveillance footage twenty-five miles west of the wilderness camp. Their car was covered in bushes making it hard for the aerial help to see them. It took two weeks for the off-roaders to find the stranded couple. They were found close to a Boy Scouts camp near Warner Springs.
In the 10-minute interview, Bedwell said she did not know when her husband had died; they were married for twenty-five years. They were both diabetic.
