Rams Hill has a new Chef!

Some of the best news, good news, exciting news in our town, Kurt Hauser has become the new chef at Rams Hill. Since he was a child Kurt loved to cook, and did. He went to the Culinary Institute of America in New York. He has been a professional chef since 1989 and has worked in top rated restaurants from New York to Southern California.
Kurt will oversee the excellent kitchen staff at Rams Hill, and continue to manage the restaurant with the help of his wife, Tracie. She, by the way, makes a mean martini!
Kurt is a real pro at the protection and preparation of fresh seafood. Specials will include scampi, porcini dusted scallops, and northern halibut which is in season now. We were remembering the fabulous Sunday brunches that Bernard staged at Rams Hill. I told him how much Louise Burmester, my husband and I loved the raw oysters Bernard served on Friday nights at his restaurant in The Mall. "Hmmm," said Kurt, just raising his handsome eyebrows. "Fresh oysters on the half shell!" So let's keep our fingers crossed.
He will bring new energy and excitement to the food business here in town and we'll try to keep you posted as it develops. For now he says, "We will be flying a light summer menu soon."
