At Clark 'Dry' Lake right after sunrise on Aug. 27, looking for fairy shrimp (too muddy and perhaps early still). The water is between 3 – 5 inches deep in places. Just deep enough to float in it with a raft, although one has to propel the boat forward Venetian style
